Master Cleanse And Your Health

Master Cleanse has been very popular nowadays after a number of celebrities have surfaced and claimed to have used it. One of them is Beyonce who used the diet to get ready for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls”.

But before that, only a few people really did know the truth behind this diet that was created 6 decades ago.

Master Cleanse was a diet program created in 1941 by an alternative medicine practitioner by the Stanley Burroughs. He once claimed that the Master Cleanse diet could cure any person with ulcer in a short span of 10 days.

This is because the diet is aimed at detoxifying the dieter of what he might have accumulated through years of smoking, drinking and eating excessively. Author Peter Glickman has exposed this diet to the modern world through his book.

What the diet is all about is the consumption of lemonade by dieter for the entire duration that he wants to stay on the diet. The lemonade is made up of fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper in water and is expected to be the only form of nourishment.

Together with the drinking of the lemonade, dieters will also need to drink laxatives too. The laxatives may be senna tea but most of the dieters are preferring to go with a salt water flush. A person who does the salt water flush will be excreting wastes that was trapped inside his system for a long period of time.

Aimed to be a detoxifying diet, the MasterCleanse diet is aimed at removing any toxin build up inside your body. Because you are to be excreting in huge quantities, you will be able to clean your digestive tract. Using the same line of reasoning, you will also be able to clean your cells and make your blood stream healthy once more.

Days into the diet, you may visibly see your acne clearing up; that is a sign that you are well into the detoxification process. The diet will also allow you to clean up your sinus cavity so that you get probability of getting asthma and other respiratory problems.
