Fad Diets Will Never Be The Answer to Losing Body Fat

The one thing that you can say for definite is that fad diets are not going to help you lose body fat. But this doesn't prevent people to continually follow the same methods. A reason this occurs is because of the clever advertisments behind these types of diets.

The manufacturers of these types of diets know how badly people want to lose weight. People will try anything if they are desperate enough. Fad diets at best are temporary methods, and are not geared towards offering you the best way to lose fat in the long term.

In the United States, nearly a hundred million people each year, go on some sort of diet program which they hope will help them towards losing weight. Statistics show that more than 90% of people who diet will fail in preventing the weight from returning. To make matters worse, around 30% of these people will end up gaining more weight than they had initially lost. These people believe all the hype which is delivered through clever marketing tactics surrounding fad diets.

On the whole, people want to reduce fat so that they can feel better and look good. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this idea, I mean, we all want to feel good. Another important factor about losing weight is the benefits to your health. Obesity is calculated to be responsible for almost 450,000 deaths each year. Obesity increases people's chances of being struck down with some horrible illnesses like diabetes, heart problems, and high blood pressure. There are no easy solutions to these types of health problems, and in many cases cannot be reversed.

Setting realistic goals is the key to losing body fat in the long term. Forget all the fad diets that tell you that you can lose 15-30 pounds a month. This is not only unhealthy, it cannot be sustained. If you think that one of these sorts of diets are going to get you what you want, then you are mistaken.

The best way to lose fat is to approach it in a realistic and sustainable way. Instead of having one bog goal, try to have smaller goals. Once you pass 1 goal, start on the next one, and continue in this fashion repeatedly. Losing weight too quickly results in your body becoming defensive. Trying to change your body too quickly is risky, simply because this is not how your body works naturally. If you go against this principle, your body will fight you.

Losing small amounts of weight each week is the method that your body likes. It will accept these methods and the end result will be more sustainable. Weight loss or fat loss is not a sprint, think of it as more of a jog. People don't become overweight all of a sudden, so expecting to lose weight in a short space of time is not a realistic goal, especially if you are after long lasting results.

Using fad diets that promise you the impossible is not the best way to lose fat. In order to lose body fat that stays off, you need a systematic and realistic approach. Read the Strip That Fat Program Review to learn how you too can start losing Fat.
