How To Stop Feeling So Anxious

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Panic attacks are one of the most often experienced disorders in the world. It is reckoned that 4 or 5 out of a hundred people are severely affected by it, in 1 way or another. Due to panic episodes, a casual mood can change into an eye-popping, nervous, can’t sit-still-on-the-chair mood, like what a father to be feels when he is eagerly waiting for his wife to give birth to their kid. A little anxiety is not such a bad thing. It helps protect you from harm or possible hazard, real or imagined, like other feelings.

The most related reason explaining why we control the animal kingdom is thanks to the way the human brain functions. One of the most specific features of the human being is the facility to have feelings. Although we do not always conclude that animals don't have feelings, as evidenced through research on the way in which they respond to certain situations, human feelings have the depth and significance that go miles beyond what animals can accomplish.

For feelings that deliver us good, we expound methods to improve it further. For feelings that deliver us harm and pain, we also try and minimize it or escape from it as much as we are able to. Tension is no exception. There's no need to totally eliminate harmful feelings because at least many of them are not 100% harmful. In little ways that they also do us good. The idea is to manage and not be controlled. Let us take fear as an example

Fear, as you know, is one of the most infamous feelings we have as human beings. It is one of the biggest (if not the most important) dissuasives to our success. Yet in spite of the negative perception we might have about fear, it's also got its small good side. Fear prohibits us from getting hurt, both emotionally and physically. A certain amount of fear inherent within us is actually good for us. We need that little quantity of fear. It inhibits us from getting too assertive.

The same is true with panic. A little panic can function as a type of defense. But being engulfed with unjustifiable panic may obstruct you from performing your normal activities and may deter you to do something especially on not-so-common activities. However if you have only 1 option to facing a panic attack, like it or not, you've got to find the correct approach to contain such an attack and suppress this discomforting feeling.

Panic episodes are actually a product of the mind, an imagination of an apparent threat or danger that may be controlled. Actually, such danger doesn't exist. Even the worst eventuality you can understand under these circumstances aren't life threatening. Life is a little too short to be engrossed with stresses that obstruct your individual growth. Don’t Let Anxiety Control Your Life!

Monday, November 7th, 2011

Anxiety can be a life-altering occurrence. It can happen without our awareness and can change a life for the worse. That's not to say the changes are with you forever. If we know early on, that we are experiencing stress and dealing with anxiety then we've got a good chance to promote positive behavior. When we understand how to combat anxiety then this new positive behaviour can then rule our lives.

There are varying effects panic and anxiety has on the human body, mind and spirit. Anxiety can oftentimes be a silent killer. Anxiety and stress go together and both promote heart problems, respiration problems and may cause us to age more rapidly than if we were to have a fitter, slower paced way of life.

Yoga, deep tissue massages, and even routine exercising can be beneficial in reducing anxiousness. All it takes is a phone call, a minute of scanning the Internet, or even a chat with your consultant or priest to start the process of healing. Once you've discovered on your own or been diagnosed by a consultant that anxiety is the culprit for what ails you, the healing process is as hard as you want it to be.

Being in denial about panic and anxiety is a step in the wrong direction. When you discover you have signs of a sickness (serious or alternatively) and all physical elements are excluded you must look hard and long at how you are living. There is part of us that the majority are not even conscious of till our health plunges and we are made to look more closely at how we live.

Most of us can fully benefit by slowing everything down and easing up on what we cram into one day. Sometimes it is like we have got to fill each moment of everyday to the bursting point in order to feel as if we have accomplished something. Stepping back and doing nothing is a challenge. And it's challenge really worth the effort and one we must take into heavy consideration.

Slowing down is the first step to forcing out the anxiety that's easily reached to everyone as humans. Forming a plan of attack on the urges and pitfalls that lead us farther into the darkness of stress is essential. The struggle against anxiousness begins with the acknowledgement that it exists. When you replace stressful, anxious behavior with positive, relaxed behaviour you have the beginnings of an amazing new life life.

How To Combat Physical Stress

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Stress can manifest in any of a number of ways. The simple truth is that the physical stress you are feeling could be the result of mental or emotional stress that you are feeling. Unfortunately, with physical stress it takes some time to suss out the actual cause of the situation. That does not mean, however, that there are not things that you can do to help yourself through the situation. In this article we are going to talk about some of the things you can do to ease the physical stress you might be feeling.

Relax your muscles. There is a technique called Progressive Muscular Relaxation (PMR) that you can use to relax your body when everything feels tense and achy. You tense up a group of your muscles so that they are as tightly constricted as you can make them.

Hold the muscles in that constricted position for a couple of seconds (about three will do). Then, slowly relax them until they are completely relaxed. This not only helps your muscles feel better, it sends the message to your brain that you are in control of your own body. Take some time to decompress every day. You don’t need to take a long time to do this. Even taking five or ten minutes just for yourself can do quite a bit to help you counteract the effects of physical stress. This time can be accomplished by taking a couple of minutes to sit down by yourself. What is important is that you allow yourself some time each and every day to put your worries and responsibilities aside. You could also benefit by taking longer moments for yourself. Take thirty minutes to read a part of a favorite book or listen to some music. Go for a jog. Do whatever you need to do to feel like you are taking care of yourself first.

You need to learn to deal with the fact that some things will happen, whether you like it or not, irrespective of how clichéd it sounds. It is essential to learn to accept matters that cannot be modified exactly as they are. Expecting to be able to change something that can’t or doesn’t want to be changes is a recipe for stressful living. You will have to put up a matter that simply won’t change as well as the implicit exasperation and disappointment that you couldn’t do anything about it. Once you understand the fact that some matters are as they should be and you stop trying to do something about that, you will find that your physical stress symptoms seem to disappear miraculously.

Physical stress can be extremely difficult to deal with. You never know whether it is stress or an illness. You could end up with a treatment for something else entirely until your physician comes to the conclusion that your problem is actually stress, which is why diagnosis can take a while. You’ll be glad to find out that suffering with pain is not necessary. There are many options to help you relieve the pain.

You can use the advice in the above article to improve how you feel until your doctor is ready to give you a diagnosis.

How to Get the Best Tastes Out of Healthy Living Recipes

Friday, August 14th, 2009

You are most likely tired of all the fake healthy living recipes. These are the recipes that make very unhealthy, but tasty foods into healthy foods while trying to stay palatable. But, there is still absolutely no way to make a candy bar from lime extract, dates and peanuts. Not gonna happen. Dates and limes just won’t make a very good candy bar.

However, realizing this can be really liberating. It can actually have you enjoying food in a whole new way. You need to stop trying to make foods that taste like cardboard, but are supposedly “healthy” and focus your mind on creating fantastic dishes you will actually like.

Here are a few tips on how you can create your own healthy living recipes that are very good and satisfying:

Its best to stay in season
Foods that are seasonal are such a treat Make sure you treat them that way. Seasonal fruits are great when used in main courses or desserts. Fresh peaches are wonderful in the summer and in the winter try sweet mandarin oranges. Berries are a great way to greet spring, and crisp apples are ideal for fall. There is no need to not eat these the rest of the year, but if you eat them at the right time will really make them a treat.

Focus on the positive
In general, you should stay away from any processed foods when you eat healthy. Pre-packaged items are usually very bad for you. So instead of grieving over those pre-packaged cakes or cookies, focus your attentions on how delicious your homemade goodies are. Now you can be proud of yourself not only for eating right, but for making a healthy living recipe that is so delicious.

Center your attentions on your family
You may not think this is really a recipe at first. Your food will taste so much better, when meals become family time rather than just about food. However, if your busy schedule doesn’t allow for regular family dining, then your meal can become a time of self-reflection. Sit down, drink some healthy green tea and take some deep breaths. Think about yourself and how your day was, while eating slowly. You will soon see that this makes meals so much easier even if you aren’t eating high fat foods you really want.

Healthy living is not just about food. It is about mindset. Meals that are truly effective healthy living recipes will factor in all aspects of your meal, not just sugar and preservatives contained within.
