Is Calorie Counting Necessary To Lose Weight?

Is losing weight really as simple as reducing how many calories you consume in a day? Well, that is so and it may not be. It is a simple fact that you will lose weight if you eat less that your body burns off in a day, but determining how to do that is not an easy matter. You can change your average calorie balance through a combination of eating less food or more food, eating different foods, and exercising more or exercising less. Some people find losing weight easier by increasing their exercise and eating the same amount of food as normal, while others would prefer not to exercise at all, but just decrease their calorie intake. Every individual is different, so you should create your own program to get rid of unwanted pounds and then stick to it until you get results.

Misunderstanding is common as to what a calorie actually is. A scientist’s definition of a calorie is that it is the heat necessary to raise the temperature of one cubic centimeter of water one degree Celsius.To the person trying to lose weight , a “calorie” is really a Kilocalorie, which is one thousand “calories”, the amount of energy found in food.

Therefore, from now on, when you see “calorie” think “kilocalorie”.”

Using a very simplistic model of how the body handles food, to gain a pound of body weight  you have to eat 3500 calories more than your body burns. What a cute tag for a degrading fact. Sure, they are plump and huggable, however to the world outside these are hideous to see and it is a thing that needs immediate action. In my opinion, having love handles is not awful. I mean, it is still part of our body… you will not be condemned if you have one.

On the other hand, it looks quite adorable, in a way. However I undestand hordes of people think differently. As stated in an online reference, “They are referred to as love handles because they provide a soft place to put one’s hand while one’s arm is around a person..” It sounds uplifting. Visualize huge billboards for lovehandles all over the country: Love Handles. Providing a cushy area to rest one’s hand on. Now that’s effective. But I’m not here to build up those comfortable but quite unpleasant stretch of fat clinging to one’s midsection, or in Filipino terms, bilbil. I’m here to correctly direct people into the avenue of bilbillessness. I discovered several fascinating entries on a site concerning removing love handles. Cardio excercise does not increase metabolism. Which tells us that love handles may have to do with something else.

And why getting rid of love handles aren’t just for other people’s eyes, but it is for your own good also. If you will ask my opinion, dealing with extra fat, is as simple as this: be active and eat less calories. You can throw away large sum of money on fat-eliminating products or surgery, yet you do not really have to worry about love handles if you have a helathy lifestyle. The present condition of your body reflects your lifestyle. If you follow the rules to a healthier body, you will not be misguided. Ice cold drinks speed up metabolism.

Oblique twists, Russian twists, and Crunch twists are some of the exercises you can do to help rid you of your love handles. However, these exercises will only help tone down undeveloped muscle. A daily walking regimen will speed up the amount of overall weight you will lose. It is important not to skip workouts because consistency is what will bring results. A little bit of total body weight training can also help to trim the fat off of your body because you will burn more calories. At least 2 total body workouts per week will do.

The best thing to do is believe in yourself and remember your motivation. As long as you have a desire to get rid of your love handles, you have exactly what it takes to keep going. The fat on your sides will be a constant reminder as to how unpleasant it is to be overweight. Exercise For Love Handles – Will It Hurt Bad?

Exercise for love handles, is it painful? Depends on what you do. It doesn’t have to be painful.

Those nasty lumps of fat at your sides are what is termed as ‘love handles’. There’s nothing lovely about them so where the name comes from I don’t know.

The technical term for love handles is obliques, after the oblique muscles which sit at an angle at each side. The word oblique mean ‘at an angle’.

Now, most advice for anything in the fitness or weight loss niche will start with all the same crap of eat healthy, balanced diet and exercise.

Yes people, we know all that but we want to know how to get rid of love handles without all that hard work. Is it possible?

Yes, you could do it. You could eat as you are now but it will take an almost Herculean effort to manage it.

Your biggest problem is that while you exercise your love handles off, with hard time in the gym. Today’s junk food is travelling merrily to your waist.

If, and it’s a big if, you could stop with the all the bad food you wouldn’t have to do nearly as much exercise to maintain a great body.

It’s all about trade-off. How bad do you want to get rid of your love handles? Bad enough to change your lifestyle?

Or will you choose to work much harder and still enjoy all the junk foods you do now. That one is up to you.

Example exercises for love handles are side bends. If you eat like you do now you may need to do a couple hundred of these a day to stay as you are. Or make the lifestyle change and only need to do fifty to get rid of the love handles.

You can see from the above example how it’s a trade off. Eating junk means more exercise, eating better means less exercise.

As a lazy person myself I tend to eat as good as I possibly can so I can keep any exercise down to a minimum. I still exercise for my love handles but only to stop them re-appearing.

To wrap it up, it will indeed hurt if you have to do masses of exercise for love handles. Far better to minimise the exercise by altering your lifestyle a bit.

If you’ve been struggling with your weight for some time, you might believe right now that you simply can’t lose weight.

I can re-assure you though that you can lose weight. Almost everyone can lose weight given the right system. Maybe you haven’t found yours yet?

I used to think I couldn’t lose weight but with mother nature using some shock tactics on me, I realised it was all in my head.

I was always around fifteen pounds overweight and at twenty seven I was hit with type two diabetes. It was like being hit by a train.

I haven’t a clue how it all works but getting it made me realise my life now depends on being serious about losing some excess fat.

I like systems, things that can be put into lists of little tasks. So I figured I should get a weight loss system that works like this.

A system is like a recipe, follow it properly and get the same end result. The end result here for you is a body you’ve craved for a long while now.

Systems are everywhere. Giant fast food chains are built on systems, it’s easy to train teenagers with step by step systems. Why not use a system then in our weight loss battle?

I’ll admit now that I spent thousands on crap dieting products only to end up back where I started a few months later. I hope by showing you my path to success I can save you wasting the same money.

I eventually discovered a system that works great for me. I can plan my day, then simply follow the daily steps and know I’m on the right track.

My system has a computer generated meal planner that cuts the stress out of deciding what I can and can’t eat. I have portions that don’t leave me hungry, which is rather important to me!

You wouldn’t believe (or maybe you would) the stress it used to cause me just trying to work out what I could safely eat. Not any more! Push button planning for me, and I love it.

I Was Convinced I Can’t Lose Weight – Now I Know I Was Wrong

I see my adult life as part one and part two. Although there is weight loss involved here it’s not why I see it in two parts.

In my case the before is (yes being overweight) before I was struck with diabetes. After is obviously the fall out after getting (and dealing with) it.

I didn’t think I was too overweight for someone in my mid twenties. I regularly carried about fifteen pounds extra.

I had tried to lose weight many times in the past but motivation was the key for me. Actually lack of motivation was the key for me. I just assumed I can’t lose weight.

I had tried to lose the weight before and when I tried hard it took for ever to shift. If I stopped for a little while it come piling back on in double quick time.

Then disaster, or what seemed like disaster for me. Struck with diabetes, and all the possible complications that come with it.

My health now depended on me to shift the fat and most importantly to un-brainwash myself and to not believe I can’t lose weight.

Just what was I gonna do? Up until now I believed I can’t lose weight. Now I’m faced with finding a system that works for me.

I figured I should go with something that suits me. I like things nice and orderly. I’m a bit OCD so I like to know I’ve ticked the boxes and I’m doing things right.

Depending on whether my daily tasks were certain exercise routines or planned meals I wanted to be able to tick off when they were done. I know I’m sticking to my system this way.

I had differing levels of success with all manner of dieting systems and gizmos. Some quite expensive! I read plenty of books and lots of Ebooks.

I eventually discovered a neat little step by step system that has a computer generated diet planner, which importantly doesn’t restrict your portion sizes. It makes it so quick and easy to plan meals.

I mentioned earlier that I like to tick the boxes off when I’m doing something, well this system ticks all the boxes for me. Forgive the little joke there!

If you too think you can’t lose weight then let me tell you from experience you are 99% wrong in thinking that. Maybe you just haven’t found the system that works for you yet. Maybe that system is the one I use?
