That’s right, all the things inventors of weight loss programs like to hype as the thing that sets their program apart and makes it the most effective, turns out to be relatively unimportant.  What matters is whether or not the individual will stick to the plan. Of course, we’re talking about legitimate weight loss plans, not some fad diet where all you eat is chocolate cake or something like that.  But any sound weight loss program is pretty much the same as another in terms of overall results and it simply comes down to following the program.

The second aspect of following a weight loss program is to consider why you may be having difficutly sticking with it to begin with.  In most cases, the problem is one of insufficient motivation.  To be adequately motivated, you need to take a hard look at why you want to lose weight, because without proper motivation, you chances of sticking with your diet and exercise plans long-term are very low.

To get adequate weight loss motivation, it is necessary to take the time to really consider why you want to lose weight and really get some strong emotion about it.  If you find a good enough why, it will be much easier to stay focused, follow your program, lose the weight, and keep it off long-term.
