Use Green Tea to Improve Your Skin’s Health
Monday, August 3rd, 2009Green tea is so good for you. Its very true. A researcher recently did a study that involved exposing hundreds of minnows to highly radioactive substances. Under normal circumstances they would have all died of cancer in days. However, they survived instead. How did they survive? They didn’t live in, instead they were in green tea.
Inundating minnows with x-rays may not sound so great to you. Most likely many people don’t like this at all. However, you have to like the results. This makes me want to immerse myself in green tea.
More and more people are becoming aware of the restorative powers of green tea. This is resulting in more products containing green tea and green tea extracts. You can buy candy, soda or coffee that contain green tea. Not to mention all the other green tea blends that are available in stores today.
However, there is an area that has not quite caught on yet. That would be in the arena of skin care. Rumors are going around about it, but nobody seems to actually be doing anything. What people aren’t aware of is that what makes green tea excellent for you body also makes it perfect for your skin.
Green tea is full of antioxidants. When consumed in liquid form, the antioxidants quickly absorb into your body and do advantageous things, like improve your immune system. But, when you put it on your face, these anti-oxidants will start working right away to defend your exterior as well.
Anti-oxidants are great for the skin. For one thing, they keep free radicals away. These free radicals are molecules that are in the air and will assault your skin causing wrinkles. Skin cells can actually slowly become cancerous after they have been over exposed to free radicals.
However, green tea skin care does more than that. Green tea extracts serve to revitalize your skin. They will put inflammation at bay and will help with any skin problems caused by the environment or because of the wrong skin care products. Add a green tea product to your skincare regimen today. It doesn’t matter what it is, lotions or creams, serums or spritzers, you will be very happy that you added green tea to your skincare regimen.
