Two Steps Towards 6 Pack Abs

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

First off, I want to mention that, for most people, getting six pack abs is not an easy task. It is quite possible but you need dedication! Below is a general 2-step guide that, if followed religiously for 3 months, will produce results. Do not forget about whey protein supplements

Step 1: Nutrition

This is the single most important part of the puzzle, hands down. You can have the most impressive set of abs, but if they're covered with a layer of fat, you won't see them! Break up your day with 5 or 6 mini-meals because this jump starts your metabolism. And stop eating the food that is preventing results: white bread, loads of pasta, soda, candy, fast food, hydrogenated oils, sugars and fructose corn syrup.

Instead, replace them with foods that will help you reach your goal: oatmeal, olive oil, whole grain breads, fruits, vegetables, nuts, eggs, natural peanut butter, chicken, fish, protein and water. Be realistic- you'll slip here and there, but make a conscious effort to radically improve your eating habits because getting a six pack will be impossible if you don't. You can add liquid supplements

Step 2: Exercise

You need to concern yourself with 3 different exercises: cardio, weightlifting and ab exercises. And aim to workout 3- 4 times a week.

The cardio you do can be anything: walking, running, biking, swimming….whichever cardio you don't mind doing so that you'll stick with it. Aim for 30-45 minutes, a minimum of 2 times a week.

Weightlifting is important because 3 pounds of added muscle burns as many calories as a 1 mile jog…and this is while you're just sitting around! Aim for 30-45 minutes, a minimum of 2 times a week. If you're confused as to what exercises to do for each body part, check out out the following website. It features professional bodybuilders, but the information is great and can be used by anyone.

The last exercise you need to incorporate into your workout is ab exercises. Aim to work your abs a minimum of 3 times a week. There are a ton of different ab exercises you can do so try to find 3 or so that you enjoy doing so you can mix it up.

Tip: mix up your workout routine every 2 weeks to keep your body guessing and changing. Add or take away different weight or ab exercises, or at the very least, vary the weight, reps or form of cardio you do. Also add protein powder supplements

Well, there you have it. Follow the above for 3 months religiously, and while results will vary from person to person, you will experience improvement.

It will take dedication on your part, but imagine the feeling you'll get when you look in the mirror and like what you see.

I’m Losing Weight For Love

Monday, October 5th, 2009

I made some observation and smiling style so that my crush would notice me. But, I seldom get his attention, my friend told me that she is going to make some researches for us to know the likes and dislikes of this crush of mine. We had known that what he wants are sexy girls. Oh no! I am not really thin, my bones are by nature, bigger than the usual girl of my age. I think it is in the genes. Eventhough, I realize that a lot of people say that and blame it on the family genetics for their problems. But I have quite a number of people in my family that are big boned and overweight. This is why I am blaming my problem on the genes right now.

But still, I wanted to meet him finally. That is the reason why I found a good help from the abs Rocket Machine and situp equipment that my friends recommended to me. At first, these abdominal machines gave me pain. It did cause a lot of pain and muscle discomfort to my body, yet it never gave me what we call as a hopeless case. What I did is ask the physical fitness instructor in our town. I befriended him and eventually he shared his own way of making ourselves an extra body beautiful. When you feel the pain, it only means that you are thinning.

I used it for approximately two weeks. And then, I accompanied it with proper and right diet. I bought only veggies like that of papaya, egg plant, and other fruits like mangoes, apples and oranges. I am now beautiful and people can see it. I now have a six pack abs which my friends will tuly envy and my crush will love for sure. So if you are currently in the same situation that I am in, then you need to start shedding those pounds by doing whatever it takes to attract the love of your life.

Those love handles should go!

Monday, June 1st, 2009

It’s a hard and difficult daily journey when you have to be vigilant on what you wear lest it make your love handles become more apparent. Also called muffin tops, they are one of the most visible imperfections in terms of physical appearance. And the unfortunate thing is they hang around for a bigger period of time compared to other fats in your body.

This layer of fat coiled around your midsection is present for a number of reasons. Not exercising much is the primary cause. A lot of us are familiar with have things done for us by new changes in technology that we simply reach for with our hands with minimal effort to get what we want. We stay in front of the Internet or the television wasting away hours as we burn no more than just some carbs instead of fat we want to remove. Even most occupations nowadays devote time to simple chores that do not need much muscle power. Sitting around and doing nothing only makes you more unhealthy and bigger.

Another cause is the bulk of what we digest. People in the past few years have to contend with their unhealthy and unsightly bulges because of not controlling what they eat. Most consumables nowadays contain a lot of cholesterol that not only produces unsightly bulges but also is detrimental to one’s well-being. There are less ‘fresh’ and more ‘frozen’ meat and veggies out there that people unconsciously take a lot of food without considering the consequences just because it felt convenient at that time. They consume now and agonize and get annoyed afterwards.

One way to take care of them, after knowing such causes, is to of course take up a regular regimen of exercise. More and more people are being drawn in by the cardiovascular exercise scheme which involves training your overall body to stay in shape and get better resistance. This also is a very effective fat burning work out because targets the supportive parts of your body, which paves the way for more effective exercise once you can handle it. This is also called aerobic exercise, and it includes many forms of sports like soccer, basketball, and even jogging.

A plus factor in this endeavor is when you hit the gym. You build might and this makes your body more reactive to the aerobic activities. Coupling an aerobic exercise after weight training produces very good results as the latter already burned the sugar which will force the exercise after it to burn stored fat.

Limiting the intake of saturated fats such as donuts, fries and a whole lot of fast foods can go a long way to help you in combating muffin tops. Restricting your beer consumption should also be taken care of. Eat five servings of vegetables every day to keep healthy while you lose weight and you’ll be on your way to having a shapelier and less frustrating body.

The 6 Pack Abs Diet Plan: What You Need to Do

Monday, May 25th, 2009

We all want to have 6 pack abs, but this means that you can’t be lazy and just expect things to happen. If you really want to get a great washboard stomach, which will really be great what with summer on the way, then you are going to have to come up with a great 6 pack abs diet plan that is going to help you achieve your goals.

Of course the actual exercising that you do is going to be imperative here as well, because without exercising on the target areas and strengthening your core, you are never going to be able to get those 6 pack abs, but the 6 pack abs diet plan is really vital here. People don’t realize just how substantial an effect their diet plays on the way that they look and feel.

Only by following a proper 6 pack abs diet plan are you going to be able to get in shape and really target those abdominal muscles. So when it comes to the planning of your 6 pack abs diet plan, the first step is going to be for you to customize it. Of course you know that you are going to need to eat healthy, but first you are going to have to make note of any foods that you are allergic to, that you maybe just don’t like personally and can’t stand to eat, and so on.

Now that you have ruled out the basic foods that you don’t want to or can’t have included in your 6 pack abs diet plan, it is now time to figure out what you are going to need to be eating. Meal planning is crucial here, but you need a starting point and that is figuring out all the different types that you should be eating here.

So for your 6 pack abs diet plan, fruits and vegetables are really what you are going to need to focus on here. These are natural foods that are great for the body and which do not have high fat or sugar contents. Just make sure that when you are eating the fruit you try to stick to having it in the earlier part of the day, for instance in a smoothie.

This is because fruit does have sugar in it natural sugars, and so at least if you have fruit in the morning your body has time to work off these sugars throughout the day. Fiber is also very important for any 6 pack abs diet plan.

Want that 6 Pack?

Monday, April 27th, 2009

A trimmed and toned stomach is something that almost everyone wants. For women, after we give birth, it seems that our stomach muscles just aren’t as willing to bounce back to the way they used to be. We all try an abdominal exercise routine but who can really resist the promises made by many of the abdominal exercise machines AKA ab equipment on the market today?

Our bellies can cause us a great deal of grief. So much emphasis is placed on having 6 pack abs or a toned stomach area that if you have an extra little pouch of fat there, you feel very self-conscious about it. Using one of the abdominal exercise machines that are available may work but it’s really dependent on one factor.

That factor is whether or not you are willing to make a life change. Getting in shape isn’t about doing an occasional abdominal exercise on some ab equipment. It’s about changing your fitness level and your diet on a regular basis and making some important lifestyle changes. If you use an abdominal machine but continue to drink sugar laden soda and eat potato chips, your belly isn’t going anywhere.

There are many choices when it comes to increasing your fitness level. If you’ve never really exercised much in the past, you probably don’t want to jump into using one of the abdominal exercise machines at your local gym. The reason is that your body isn’t going to react well and you can seriously hurt yourself. Walking is a great way to warm up before attempting any abdominal exercise.

Some people who are overweight are embarrassed to go to the gym to work-out. They feel self-conscious about putting on work-out gear and sweating in front of strangers. The thing to remember is that everyone is there for the same reason and that’s to get in better shape. Most people at the gym are so focused on what they are doing, that they don’t give you a second thought or look.

When I was looking for some exercise equipment recently I decided to visit the gym to get a look at what was out there and more importantly to give it a try to see if it was something I’d enjoy. They had treadmills, elliptical machines and several different abdominal exercise machines. I experimented with several and soon realized that if nothing else they were really effective. I could feel my abs burning after just a few minutes on the machine.

I checked out prices on the Internet and then finally decided on a model that fit both my fitness level and my budget. I’ve been using it for a few months and can see some results. I feel much better looking in the mirror. Although some people might tell you that abdominal exercise machines are doing the same job as sit-ups, I’d say my newly trimmed and toned tummy is proof that’s not true.

Great Tips On Burning Stomach Fat

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Most people think that all they need to do to get a set of 6 pack abs is do hundreds of sit ups every day and they will automatically appear!  I have some bad news, that simply is not going to happen! Before you can get a flat toned six pack you must lose your belly fat .

When trying to attain a flat ripped stomach the most important thing you need to do is modify your diet.  Cut out the junk food, alcohol and processed foods right away.  Replace them with natural unprocessed foods and eat a balanced diet.  Try and limit your daily calorie intake to below the number of calories you burn on a daily basis. There really is no need to starve yourself of food!  Just eat slightly less and burn more, and concentrate on lots of natural products, such as fruit, veg, fresh pasta and lean meats.

To burn more calories try and do some cardio exercise at least two times a week, and on top of that, just once a week, do a high intensity weight training workout.  Your work out should concentrate on lifting heavy weights, but with fewer repetitions than you would normally do.Concentrate on targeting your major muscle groups, work the largest muscles first and then the smallest.  Only use exercises to target your abs that involve overloading them, which means using weights to really work your abdominal muscles.

Finally don’t over train your muscles or you won’t see any development in them.  Over training when lifting heavy weights is a common mistake a lot of people make.  Contrary to what a lot of fitness instructors would have you believe, you only need to lift once a week and not every other day.  When you stress your muscles, they need time to recover and grow stronger.

How To Shed Belly Fat

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

Lean, attractive, ripped-up abs – it’s something that many men and women envy and hope to achieve. It’s widely accepted that it’s not visually appealing if someone is walking around the beach with a sagging, bloated midsection hanging over their speedos.

Some people are under the misconception that you achieve this by performing hundreds of ab exercises each day. There’s nothing wrong with carrying out abdominal exercises but they’re not effective in revealing your stomach muscles! Compare your abs to your legs or back – they are actually quite a small muscle group. Performing crunches will help your abs to grow and promote definition, but you won’t see the benefit under that layer of fat! Abs won’t become any more visible through endlessly training them..

To lose the fat over the abs, you have to raise your metabolism with a healthy diet and well planned exercise routine. Poor diet and lack of exercise will mean that you’ll still carry ab-covering fatty tissue over your stomach, no matter how many crunches you are performing each day.

Belly fat loss is helped by weight training which will cause your metabolism to speed up and burn more fat, you should be training all bodyparts, not just ones that feel like training. If you build more lean muscle, you’ll burn more fat.

There are several exercises that you should employ for your weight training routine:

The Squat is one of the best exercises that you can perform. With squats, you get the benefit of an exercise that targets the legs, but works back and shoulders at the same time. It is very effective because it is a compound lift, recruiting multiple bodyparts to lift the weight! Include it in your routine.

Lunges are a great exercise for targeting your legs. The’re an effective exercise for beginners because of their simplicity.

Another big compound lift that should be performed as part of any weight training routine is the bench press. It will work the chest and shoulders and can you add a decent amount of lean muscle using this exercise which will cause an increase in your bodys metabolic rate.

Ensure that you have a diet plan and cardio routine to compliment your weight training plan.
